Lorraine Cox

Director

Creative Estuary - University of Kent iCCi

Lorraine is an experienced cultural strategist with a background in local government, the voluntary sector, and housing. She has led the development of arts and heritage programmes, and capital projects, working with and for local communities.
Around the Thames Estuary, Lorraine builds long-term partnerships to support the growth of the Creative & Cultural Industries (CCIs) sector. Through her work with the Creative Estuary team, she is helping to establish the Thames Estuary as a world-class creative hub. Her focus includes working with local authorities to bring underused town centre buildings into creative and mixed-use spaces, while supporting the sector through skills development, investment, and initiatives such as Co-Commissions.
Lorraine believes to be successful, the creative sector needs sustainable, affordable spaces to produce and present work; with opportunities for growth and development. A strong advocate for the uniqueness of local places and the role of communities.

"Its a pleasure to contribute to the UK Creative Festival. This event is an essential part of the regional calendar for young people and the Creative Industries to share and explore opportunities."
